Kinda Far started with a shared love of travel and a belief that the best experiences happen when the right people, places and opportunities come together.
Our foundation is built on years of experience across the travel industry, event planning and group coordination. Along the way, we connected with like-minded creatives who brought their own strengths in content creation, UGC, photography, videography, social media and digital marketing. Together, those different worlds became Kinda Far.
Today, Kinda Far is a collective of travel professionals, creators and creatives who believe there is more value in experiencing a destination together than simply visiting it. We create thoughtfully planned experiences that bring people into incredible destinations, connect them with hotels, tourism partners, activities and local experiences, and give them the space and resources to create, learn and grow along the way.
At the heart of Kinda Far is community. It is about bringing together people with different strengths, perspectives and experiences and creating opportunities that benefit everyone involved. From Creator Escapes and destination experiences to brand partnerships, education and content creation, everything we build is designed around connection, collaboration and seeing where travel can take us.

Meet the team
Janelle, Bryan and David first crossed paths through destination weddings on South Padre Island. Janelle ran the wedding and events business and venue, Bryan handled operations, the website and officiating, and David photographed the weddings. Now they bring that experience to Kinda Far, combining Janelle's background in events and travel, Bryan's business and operations experience, and David's destination and accommodation photography.
Janelle

Janelle has spent years bringing people together through weddings, events and travel. She owned and operated a wedding and events business and an event venue, and has run her own travel agency since 2016. Kinda Far grew out of that experience and the connections she has built.
Morgan
Creator & Community Lead
Morgan brings a diverse background in human resources, sales, management, and event coordination to Kinda Far. She plays a key role in building creator relationships and securing brand and product collaborations that bring new opportunities to the Kinda Far community. A self-proclaimed movie buff with a photographic memory, Morgan has a natural talent for making connections and remembering the details that matter.
David
Photographer
David is a commercial photographer based in San Antonio with more than 20 years of experience and an extensive destination portfolio. He photographs places to stay, from Airbnb rentals to hotels, and brings out the details that help guests picture themselves there.
Bryan
COO
Bryan is Kinda Far's COO and the engine behind the business. He has built businesses for himself and others, spent six years in M&A working with business owners and entrepreneurs, and keeps developing other projects. Off the clock, he's at the beach, diving or traveling.
